She began performing at an early age, and toured the United States in a productions of Les Miserables when she was nine years old. After that, Lalaine focused on her acting for a few years" appearances in commercials and the video for Tom Petty's single "Walls" led to a role as one of the orphans in Disney's movie version of the musical Annie. Soon after she landed the role of Miranda Sanchez, and when she performed a song on an episode of Lizzie McGuire, Disney producers soon put her singing and acting talents to use in the Disney Channel film You Wish, in which she starred and performed the title track. |
