2 little questions about VLC player and windows thumbs

1 How do I play a second file in VLC, without shutting of the first so I can watch the files at the same time? Where can I change that in the preferences.

2 Thumbs. I cannot see my thumbs anymore of videofiles, I can with jpeg and GIF. This is occuring after uninstalling Nero.

Sounds like You Might have an old version of VLC. I had that exact problem with that version. You can download the latest, VLC 1.0.1, at www.filehippo.com & you shouldnt need to keep closing it down

I downloaded an earlier version and it works fine agagin, thanks.

Any ideas on the thumbs thing?

In the window with all your vid files in, on the menu bar, click on either the "View" icon or go into the "View" dropdown. You should be able to select whether you can see your files as Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, List or Details. Hope that helps
