2004 Olympics

Does anyone have tickets or plans to go to the 2004 Olympics in Athens this summer? Are you concerned about terrorism there?

If you go the start of the games you'll probably be safe as I doubt they'd try to blow something up before it was finished

No. There are even some athletes that are not going because they are afraid of a terrorist attack. Mainly basketball players of course.

i dont think that there is any danger for terrorist attack in greece.everythink will be alright here and alla of them who have fear they are just scared of the games.we saw how safe was america to be in american cities is not so safe anymore here in greece no one fears of anything ,the maximum that can happen is a black out for 30minutes to 1 hour and it will not be a aterrorist attack

the olympics centers have UPS's (or something like that in big scale) so it will not be a real problem

Well weren't there 4 or 5 bombs that were set off back in May? Or was that some internal political violence? From what I've read and heard, security in Athens is going to be HUGE. Hopefully nothing happens and the world can enjoy the games!
