2011 And Still Nobody can make a good browser

Thats how I feel.
For years I had Explorer and it was ok.
But then for some reason youtube wouldn't work correctly with Explorer 7 so I had to update to 8 or choose another browser.
Does anybody have any idea why youtube would do that?

I tried explorer 8 and it just pissed me off. It hangs all the time, its slow, does weird stuff and organizing the favorites is a bitch.
sometimes it saves a favorite at the end of the folders list......other times in alphabetical order with no rhyme or reason.
So then I tried Firefox, didn't really like it much.
Tried Safari, sucked.
Opera, sucked
Google Chrome........I loved it......until it wouldn't work.
Checked the web for a fix.......million people with the same problem......no fix.
A few months go by, Google chrome again, loved it.......until the shockplayer started crashing everytime I opened it........checked the web for a fix.......million pissed off people, no fix.

Back to explorer 8 and it bugs and quirks.

WHY OH WHY CAN'T SOMEBODY MAKE A GOOD BROWSER?
Seriously.

Whats your opinion, we'd like to know?

FreeOnes makes me moist!
Mozilla has always worked for me, no "bugs or quirks", the youtube problem may just be the plugins you're running and I never have trouble organizing my favs :dunno:

ie is the devil. its just pure evil.

firefox is still my pick, although im finding this new version a little lame. im seeing the first buggy issues ever with this browser. the old versions were king but this.. eh. but it
does keep me safe.

Opera 11 here and i love it/ blisteringly fast/ FF still my secondary browser but it's getting awfully slow -- relative to ...

I think Mr. Jizz makes a good point. Sounds more like you have application/plugin conflicts with your OS and/or other software, rather than it being a specific browser problem.

How old is your machine? What is it?

Did you try Iron?

the computer is 4 years old

tell me, is this bad?
windows xp
version 2002
service pack 3

HP
compaq presario
amd athlon 64 processor
3800+
996 mhz 960mb of ram

and yep, tried iron, same crashes.
I uninstalled and reinstalled both chrome and iron twice, plus the flashplayers also.
even tried older versions of the flashplayers
It will be ok for about a day then the crashes commence.

I checked the interwebnet and many people have this problem and theres not one fix to be found.

So today I might go with firefox again......

thanks everybody

Chrome has worked fine for me and the only reason it's ever given me any trouble was due to bugs in my computer. I've found that some of the shockwave crashes and inconsistencies with Chrome didn't seem to have much to do with the browser itself.

I would say stick with Chrome, update your Microshaft security junk and sweep your computer with a few good av/as programs and it should work fine.

Here's your problem:

Windows XP

Get Windows 7. I have FireFox running on a Windows 7 machine and it's not only a good browser, it makes me breakfast in the mornings...

i do still like FF but do prefer Opera 11 -- the latter's speed is incredible //

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
I'm running XP with SP3 on 5 different machines, and I go back & forth between Firefox and Safari all the time. I can't really report any problems with either browser. I stopped using IE about a year and a half ago and I'm amazed that I stuck with that piece of junk for as long as I did.

If you're having problems with every browser that you use, it sounds more like you have a system problem, rather than a browser problem. When was the last time you wiped your computer clean and started with a fresh install? According to the girl who's been doing repairs for me for years, that's just the life of a Winders user: every now & again, you gotta give 'em an enema.

After years using IE, I switch to Firefox 2 years ago. Worth the switch.

Make sure you don't have viruses screwing your browser up.
