2011 And Still Nobody can make a good browser

Danglyparts

FreeOnes turned me straight!
save up and get a new computer. most companies only make theirs to last well for around 3 years. so you can't complain if you have problems after that. that's just an obsolete machine, it will naturally slow down, or get bugs. the only guarantee is that it's all downhill from here. if this is only your first problem, there will be more. hell, most film schools i've been to only keep their computers for 2 years tops before swapping them out.

it's a hard answer to have to hear, but that's your obvious best bet. and i know everyone, somewhat redudantly redudantly redudant.

thanks for your responses.
I downloaded 88 updates for windows that were waiting.
ran 2 virus scans, cc cleaner.

I also got firefox........nice browser, so far so good.

I think its time to do what reyc said though.......complete system douche.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
Browsers are one of the few things I've never had any problems with on a computer. It probably helps a lot that I don't have a need for any of them to do much though. :dunno:

Chrome has worked fine for me and the only reason it's ever given me any trouble was due to bugs in my computer. I've found that some of the shockwave crashes and inconsistencies with Chrome didn't seem to have much to do with the browser itself.

I would say stick with Chrome, update your Microshaft security junk and sweep your computer with a few good av/as programs and it should work fine.

I recently started to use Chrome and it doesn't seem to hang the way IE has been hanging on me.

Try Google Chrome, imo it's getting better.

chrome is the best i know, but it crashes mine and a million other peoples flashplayers every time a video is played.
its a bug it has no fix for.

I went with firefox, almost the same as chrome(actually I have just iron) and its smooth, no hangs, no freezes, no weird shit.

I gotta delete explorer 8 which i didn't even want in the first place and roll back to 7 to use only for certain things.
Explorer 8 has some serious problems, can't believe they released that crap.
for example since i downloaded it every time i play a avi or wmv ect, explorer opens, then hangs for 10 seconds, then shuts down before the wmp will start.
weird stuff.

Be careful what you wish for, it might come true!

I have to agree that of the three most common it's the best, but yes that unresolved flash plug in problem can be a real pain in the ass at times.

Firefox was a total nightmare for me starting with it's next to last update. Major problems with hang time followed by full crashes. And the only add on I had activated was Ad Block, which I don't think ? was responsible for all the problems.
