Isn't Tehran putting in a bid? If they were I'd definitely vote for them. Iran deserves a break :D

If not, Tokyo I guess.

For the love of God, I hope it isn't Chicago. The city is running out of money and the Olympics make cities build stupid new and usually unneeded facilities where they usually lose money. The city can't pay for a lot of services now. The short-term gains of the Olympics are just that, "short-term". Add in all the usual corruption, cost overruns and especially the corrupt shady back door dealings the place has when construction of any significance takes place and it's a recipe for disaster.

They can't even decide who is gonna fix the field surface in Soldier Field yet, either. If Chicago doesn't win the Olympic bid, the city will defintely have a new mayor under the helm next year.

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
London has 2012, so i doubt Madrid gets 2016. The financial burden for Chicago and the US could be better spent on something else. Tokyo would be a tape-delayed nightmare for the networks in US. Rio would be awesome. Would it be late winter/early spring for the games?

Chicago would be sic. Only because I'd like to go and it is reasonably close, but like others have mentioned, I don't think any city in the U.S is in a good enough financial state to host the Olympics.

Weren't they just in Beijing a couple years ago? Last year? Tokyo is too close.

I vote Rio.

Based on political arithmetics Chicago will get the Games.

Brazil will host the football World Cup 2014 which makes it unlikely that only two years later they will host the Olympics.

Beijing was host in 2008. I don't think that they'll give it to another East Asian country again so soon.

London will be host in 2012. No chances for two consecutive Summer Games in Western Europe - and the intermediate Winter Games 2014 will be in Europe, too (Sotchi, Russia)

I vote for Rio de Janeiro because I think it would be awesome if they had the marathon course going through the City of God. Then none of the runners would be running for the prize, they'd be running for their lives. :1orglaugh
Only because I'd like to go

Good luck getting tickets. I hear nosebleeds go for $5 grand.

The one and only.
Chicago - only because there's a baseball team there that I'm quite fond of. You probably couldn't guess which one..
