70 Year Old Whiskey

DietCrush

I joined ‘cause I was ‘high’!
I'm a fan of crystal head vodka and with whiskey i like crown. I've had a few of the less expensive canadian whiskeys like canadian club and I like them too.

I like Jack Daniel's and Captain Morgan.

I like Knob Creek. I had some 50 year old Jim Beam recently, it wasn't aged any longer, but was bottled many years ago. It was pretty good.

Well, the thread title is misleading. It's 70 y/o GLENLIVET. If I had that kind of money, I'd be running at this.

Do I look normal to you?
I mostly drink Glenlivet 12. Occasionally Glenlivet 18. I have had MacAllan 25 - smooth and excellent. Saw a bottle of MacAllan 50 in a steak house - was $500 a pour. Couldn't afford that!

I need to clean my screen!
I'm a fan of single-malt scotch (Glenlivet in particular) but I seriously doubt my palate is sophisticated enough to appreciate a 70 year old scotch.

I have a favorite whiskey, Highland Park

http://www.highlandpark.co.uk/lda/

I is fabricated on the Orkney Islands, which makes it the single whiskey distilled farest north. Very rich taste, not as smooth as other spirits like Glen Grant etc

Okay, I used to buy 12-year old bottles, and one day, a neighbour, who was on a sailing trip around scotland brought me a gift of a 18-year old

I can tell you that was like day and night, 6 years make a hell of a difference.

Still wondering what 25 years might do, or 30.

This is the first thing I'll buy when I hit the jackpot :drool1:
