""90% of the guns in Mexico come from the U.S."

Hot Mega

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
ak 47's are not made in the states and are 100% illegal in every state.
how much more can you make something illegal?

there are already so many laws and regulations that in order to purchase a gun legally is almost impossible in most states.

if something is already illegal how can it be made more illegal? how will that decrease crime?
Obamas and the anti gun people (anti gun, not anti crime or pro punishment for crimes) ideas on control
are the equivilent of treating dandruff with decapitation.

You're making your case on 2 AKs? I doubt he's talking about firearms that are illegal to possess here.

Re: "90% of the guns in Mexico come from the U.S."

"90% of the guns in Mexico come from the U.S." . . .So lets ban guns in America to save Mexico's sorry ass ? It's a grossly false statement to begin with. What about the 40mm grenade launchers and "LAWS" type rockets that the cartels are know to have, are those from America too ?
Listen and watch this autocrat in the making as he bullshits his way through the teleprompted print. Disgusting. Make no mistake ! This president is on his way to repeal the Second Amendment and is he ever bold about it !

Like others on this board, from the day that Barak O. was sworn in I retained an open mind thinking that the man wouldn't dare abuse his power.
I even scolded myself for thinking that he might !

The maker of a revolution

DAMN !

Yep, and this is just a big excuse for him to do it.

These are some of the lamest, silliest posts that the slavering hatemonger UberLiberals on the board have made...and that's saying something.
I know I have come to realize there really is a synapse dysfunction where Titsrock is concerned, but others are the FreeOnes Jeanene Garafolo's.

Hopefully they will catch the bullets from the crazed assassins and the rest of us can continue to work this crap out.

Is there someone of the conservative persuasion who can spell a person's name correctly around here? Facetious can't spell our president's first name correctly. And YOU can't even spell JANEANE Garofalo's name correctly. A mis-spelling of a person's name before the criticism comes usually means the criticizer is either so biased against the original person, and they haven't given the initial information any actual critical thinking to begin with, or the criticizer really has nothing to offer and the mis-spelling upfront pretty much betrays whatever criticism follows...:dunno: That's kind of how it works.

The "teabagging" parties, organized by Fox News "and friends" are nothing more than companion events to the inflammatory, white racist, white privilege tone of the McCain/Palin political rallies of this Summer and Fall. That's the essential point Ms. Garofalo was making. The two were basically one...

If we polled a random sample of people attending a "Tea Party Event" how many people there would believe that President Obama is a muslim? If I take an educated guess--I'll go with 50% of all people attending one of those rallies....

I am merely LIBERAL. There are actual "uberLiberals" "out there" that make me seem like BillO, fwiw....

I'm curious to consider what "continue to work this crap out" means from you. I assume it means continue to do nothing and look the other way while problems fester and explode all around us or if we just cut taxes and build fences like they had in East Germany all of our problems will go away...

No other ammo to through at people, you have to resort to name spelling?

Come on now...

I think they are talking about small firearms, not weapons like howitzers or helicopters I guess. Small firearms are the problem. Are there large controls if you want to enter Mexico from the US? Perhaps if you want to enter the US from Mexico, but I don't think the reverse way. So it's not a big problem to buy firearms like guns and pistols legal in the US and smuggle them across the more or less open border to Mexico, where they get used in drug wars.

I think while Mexico has an problem with firearms from the US, the US have a problem with drugs from Mexico. So I think it should be in the interests of both to stop these illegal activities on either sides. Or am I wrong?

if me, a lawbiding citizen without a crimal or mental record wants to own a firearm for home defense, target shooting, hunting or any other reason that does not involve a crime, why should anyone care?

It's not the old, grammar argument. It's something higher that I'm getting at. People are entitled to make grammar and spelling mistakes. But when it becomes obvious or where there might be an ulterior motive...that's where I'll question things.:dunno:

I've answered pretty much every point that exists in this thread as well as created my own "talking points".....:dunno:

I believe there are photos and film clips of signs at the various tea parties that recently happened with some very interesting spelling choices. I have yet to see a Liberal person on these boards find photos of those signs and poke fun at them.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Seems to me there are a few easy ways to solve this...

#1) Close the border, if your out, and you try to get in illegally...well, ya might get shot.

#2) If your in, and not allowed to be in, and we send you back, and you get in again...you NEVER get out.

#3) Tell Mexico to make guns legal, so the little fuckers don't have to come here to get them.

#4) Just tell Mexico to shut the fuck up. Fact is, they're a bigger problem then the guns are, and if they would get their shit together, we wouldn't have to baby sit them, and the filthy animals they let corrupt their Politicians, and streets.

I think it's REAL obvious by the increased sales of guns, and the outcry against regulating them any further, that the American people have spoken. I for one am damn sick and tired of having to pay the price for societies rejects and failures. I hope the American people are smart enough to not let these so called "servants of the people" try and get away with one more single compromise to our Constitutional, and Civil rights.

BY THE WAY...

Lets just suppose in an imaginary fantasy world out there it was possible to stop 100% of the guns that get into Mexico somehow, which it never will be. Does anybody really think for a second that drug lords with millions of dollars of resources in a lawless regions where they often have more political pull than elected officials would have any problems whatsoever getting arms from any of the other places in the world that are happy to sell them to whoever can buy them. Unlike some gun shop over here those they get from other places will not only be fully automatic but they could probably even get other military grade stuff in with the deal like, RPGs, or mines. Any restrictions on buying guns over here will have a marginal at best impact in Mexico while hurting the people in America because the Mexico can't get it's crap straitened out. It doesn't make a lot of sense.

That's interesting ...

Given that over 90% of automatic weapon discharge in the US, from the Brady Foundation's own statistics, is organized crime from outside the US that operate in our borders at times.

In any case, and none of this has anything remotely to do with legal gun ownership.

Last I heard Obama said that he wasn't going to vote to reinstate the assault weapons ban.

Of course that doesn't mean he'll keep his word, but I'm not going to assume that he means the opposite of everything he says either.

I wonder what would happen if I went into a gun shop and asked them which was the best gun for trying to overthrow the US government?

While that's true, Obama as POTUS wouldn't be voting for anything. He'd either be signing it into law, vetoing it or instituting it by way of executive order.

Me being an advocate of the right to keep and bear arms (firearms), I fear this is a political chess move by Obama that will ultimately work in his favor. As more of these sensationalized crimes involving firearms occur, Americans are going to eventually want something done and they're not going to care what it is as long as it's something. Just like the best weapon MADD and opponents of drunk drivers can ever have is incidents like the one involving the Angels pitcher.

The "pro-gun" lobby really does itself a disservice by irresponsibly ratcheting up the rhetoric and inciting the lunatic fringes that then go out and cause crimes. They incorrectly believe they are helping their cause by inflaming the passions of people. But in so doing they don't recognize that if for every 1000 Americans they get to enjoin their side they potentially turn tens of thousands against their cause if 2 or 3 people are incited to commit violence as a result of their rhetoric.

When public outcry becomes so great all Obama would appear to be doing is responding to the will of the people as opposed to handing down the will of the government.

Him and his cronies are cooking something up, I'm sure.

They would chuckle at you and answer, The kind we can't get, you can't afford, and we wouldn't be allowed to sell you if we could get it...or you could afford it.

well so if we can't use military grade weapons how are we supposed to defend against the government?

also the bad guys are not limited by ownership laws either so I don't see much of a point in having guns for defense if all the people you'd want to defend against have better weapons than you do.

That's why ANY laws, or modifications to the 2nd Amendment, clearly usurp it. Including, and specifically the Federal Firearms Act of 1934. Most people just don't seem to get it, but whenever the Government, no matter what level, but mostly Federal, try to pass a gun law, it's not to "help make the playgrounds safer". It's not to make "the world a less dangerous place". It's only purpose, plain and simple, is to disarm a lawful society, because lets face facts, the only person a law effects, is the law abiding...and criminals by nature, do not subscribe to the laws set forth. Another thing people fail to realize is, the 2nd Amendment is there so the Government KNOWS we have the rights, and means to keep things checked and balanced...not necessarily so we can over throw them, or start a civil war. If they know we're ready, and willing, they would tread carefully, and be more respectful of the tax payers that employ them.
