Heres another piece of music history based on a drum loop from a track from1967 which has been used in various music over the last 20-30 years.

Some of it isn't. Some of it is. As an avid metal head and a fan of old school hip hop, it pains me to admit this but there are actually a few country songs I like. I aint goin into details dammit!

Very cool! I think they did miss out on the Indie with the release of the Buzzcocks album Spiral Scratch which is the first self release of the punk era.

Seems to me, they might have at least noted the date the electric guitar was invented. While I know, Les Paul was instrumental in it's creation, and wasn't technically a rock & roll musician, it's hard to imagine what it would be like without electrification, let alone how it would have sounded without Marshall stacks, and overdrive.
