Sorry in advance about not posting this in one of the already existing Fallout3threads but I'd like to purchase this game later today and would love the help sooner rather then later.

The dude that reviewed fallout3 at IGN said "the ps3 version has shown substantially more bugs than what you get on PC and 360." This was posted in the presentation section of the review. Anyone know what he means by this? Its going on a 1 yr old not too long from now so was there insane patches for this game in the last 9 months making this a non-issue today? I understand its alittle bit of a buggy game for every platform, but Id rather buy it on ps3 instead of 360.

Thanx..........

If only for the DLC you should really buy it on 360 if you can or PC but not on the PS3. The game is a little buggy on 360 but if it's more on PS3 then it must be really anoying.Anyway , mark my words , you need to be able to play the downloadable content , it's all great and since there is aboslutely no indication that it's going to be available for PS3 ever, the best versions of the game are definitely on 360 and PC.:2 cents:

The problems with the PS3 version (as I understand it):

-Choppy frame rate
-Freezing whenever there is a PS3 notification.
-Texture popping
-Random freezing while playing the game
-Load times slowing down as you get further into the game

I've got it for 360, and I can tell you I haven't had any of these problems on the 360. Could be luck, but from what I understand, Bethesda had to put together a patch team specifically for the PS3 after the amount of bugs and glitches were discovered.

I gotta look into this patch.........I wanted to buy it yesterday but didnt get around to it. As far as the DLC,I read that its on its way to ps3.As a matter of fact they are doing a disc based release that has all the DLC released so far for a lower price than buying it in seperate episodes. 360 only had it exclusively for a limited time just like the GTA4 DLC.

A game like Fallout3 takes forever to get to somewhat of an ending in the initial story. My attention span for one game doesnt stretch that far so DLC for a game of this nature would probably be irrelevant.

Thanks for the info fella's........

I found an interesting article. It says there will be a game of the year version of fallout 3 later this year that will include all 5 dlc for 59,99 $ us

http://kotaku.com/5260907/fallout-3-dlc-announced-for-playstation-3-and-two-new-dlc-for-all

The game w/ 5 add-ons $60? Thats sweetness right there. I dont mind waiting until October for that deal. Madden in 2 weeks and NHL10 not too long after that............plenty to play until that $$$ saving package comes out.

You're the man Bolt! Nice article
