A question for the OCSM's concerning photo shoots

I'd like to know how many photos are taken for a photo shoot of +/- 100 pics & how long it takes (1 hour or 8 hours or ...). So, can you tell me?

100 pictures can be taken in an hour. Photographers tend to take a lot of pics so they can pick the best ones out to use.

Thanks for the reply, but when I said 100 photos I was talking about the end product, when the photographer has already picked the best pics.

Do I have to multiply by 10, 20, ..., to get the total amount of pictures the photographer takes?

I'm asking because I'm following (not participating in) a discussion on another board and someone posted an extreme amount of photos being taken...

Ive seen photographers take 3 to 4,000 pics in just a few hours!

I dont know if thats the usual case though.
