i have a simple question for you. it's a serious one, but simple.

9/11: i remember that morning. it was a tuesday (my day off work back then), and although a plane hitting a skyscraper seemed like a bad accident at first, i realised that this was serious when the broadcast was not interrupted by commercials... the networks choosing not to make money? surely The End must be upon us...

many things didn't make sense back then - still don't - but life goes on. you forget things.
this evening though i had the good fortune of reading this interview with doctor niels harrit from the university of copenhagen. it's in german, and i won't bore you with the details, but the good doctor raised a point which i had already forgotten.

so bear with me here.

how many buildings went down in NYC on 9/11?
3, right? the two towers, and WTC7.
how many planes were there? 2.

so this is my simple question, dear fellow porn lovers: how do you bring down 3 buildings with 2 airplanes?

No course not. These are conspiracy theorists we're talking about here.

But really, the building in question wasn't on fire or having chunks missing out of indicating that it had been struck my debris. It appears to have collapsed in much the same fashion as the two WTC buildings IE:, not from the top down; for no apparent reason and without explanation. It has been theorized that the concussive force and heat of the WTC buildings collapse weakened it to structural failure, but that seems inconclusive.

With 50,000 gallons of jet fuel (aka kerosene) exploding in a fireball on impact and producing a fire so hot that it melted the supports that held the buildings up....that's how.

The third building was lost when it also caught fire. Supposedly, there was a shitload of diesel fuel in the building from what I understand and that contributed mightily to the ultimate collapse of the building.

i am not a conspiracy loon. i have asked a simple question, which none of you have been able to answer.

jagger69: on the videos you can clearly see that most of the fuel explodes outside the buildings, and the planes had been in the air for some time, so were not on a full tank to begin with. whether such a fire can make steel and concrete melt is also open to debate.

also, WTC7 was 47 stories tall, not exactly a miniature building.

and why is name backwards... it's not my name. i am german, but namreg is also NAMe REGistration. i'm terrible at remembering forum logons, so this makes it a bit easier.
