I noticed that the size of the clips available at several paysites have grown to humongous sizes these days.

When I wanted to get a video from one of the PixandVideo partner sites, I thought, well, go for the best video quality.

Then I saw in my download manager that this meant getting a freaking 1.4 gigabytes :dunno:

Checked some more clips, and it seems to be a trend

So I do a poll: To which degree you think clip size is still okay regarding size versus quality???

I smell PUSSY!
Generally i think the HD clips normally are about 1gb or over, but the regular clips are normally 150mb to about 500mb.

To be honest around 250mb always works out fine for me.

persona non grata
If a video is available in several formats i always download the one with the best quality, and since i have a reasonably fast connection (a 1 gig file usually takes about 15 minutes to download) isn´t the filesize any real problem.

FreeOnes is pumping through my veins!
I realised that out of about 30Gb of video downloads on my drive, there's only 4 or 5 video's that I've bothered to watch more than once. So I dumped the lot and don't bother with downloading anymore.

Same here. I have watched agazillion of films, videos or clips, but in the end, there are something like five to ten videos that seem to just match my flavor :)

To me, I can see that more and more sites may go to the politics of offering streaming media, and ask a little cash for downloading.

Or use the 'Flattr' system, where you pay a certain amount and yand you click the 'flattr-button' below those items you especially like. At the end of the month, you amount of money prepaid is equally shared among the flattred items.

But that is another topic
