Traci Lords is the only one with a successful career in Hollywood after porn. There´s some others that´s done some roles here and there in movies and TV-shows (Ginger Lynn and Ashlyn Gere for example).
Traci Lords made the transition to mainstream but she was never as big a star as she was in porn. She did bit roles in some movies like Blade where she turned into ashes after just a few minutes on screen. I can't recall the name of that movie of Denzel Washington and Russell Crowee where she was a band player who also got creamed.
I'm not sure; do they just fade into oblivion like the rest of us? So long as they are content and financially secure, and have a home and loved ones - that's all that's important (again, like the rest of us).
Very true. I recall watching one of those plastic surgery shows where a former pornstar wanted to have her H-cup implants removed so that she could go to nursing school without being harassed. Before the reduction, she was asked all the time if she was a dancer/stripper/pornstar. Afterwards, she completely blended in.
I wouldn't mind seeing a documentary on this sort of thing... "True Life: I'm Leaving Porn." I'm sure there's a lot of different ways girls deal with it. Trying to get other jobs. Going back to school. Saving up money and simply retiring. Moving into other areas of adult entertainment. Could be interesting.
