I was a bit curious about one topic: at which age normally a male actor start doing porn?
According to law you need to be 18 like femalesbut it seems that most male performer will start later...

Hey guys this is an extremely particular, novel topic! I'm amazed that just a guy has answered. I had received more posts for topics that i considered dull! However it could be a combination of cultural element, in western culture (particularly in italian one) it is expected that guys well in their thirties have sex with gals 20 or less (obviously past the age of consent). The other way round while highly "advertised" in some fringe circles is generally by far less common!

I would think it's more because the industry itself is centered around women and the "next big star".

Men are more of a prop so there isn't nearly the rush or romanticizing of potential fame for men. Good looking guys and even a few that aren't are also probably already having sex if they want. That's one of the major inspirations for a man to even consider getting into the business in the first place.

Combined with the actual hard work and potential for gay performances or solo masturbating stuff etc to even get your foot in the door...probably turns away a lot of casual idealists.

Therefore a lot of the youngins either don't consider it at all, consider it but not seriously or try and fail.

Then the older gents may have started out younger doing stuff that doesn't see the light of day or isn't nearly as popular. Till they "pay their dues" and finally get into stuff people in mass watch.

Women who are considered attractive or have a certain aspect that fits a genre (EG: Big ass, Big tits willing to do bondage or other niche things). She'll be moved to the top of the list to appear in films etc...

That's my hypothesis though since the male stars imo do tend to be older and there's typically only a handful compared to hundreds of women.

In order to last for the standard duration of a porn scene, the guy has to be able to regulate his excitement and hold out until the director calls for the money shot (whatever type that may be). At the very least, the girl just needs to look enthusiastic (and sometimes, not even that).

I'm not belittling the efforts of girls, because there is certainly a difference between experienced and inexperienced female talent, but it's not going to be the deciding factor of if the scene gets finished.
