All Organic Eggs Are Equal - Scrambled Eggs

TheOrangeCat

AFK..being taken to the vet to get neutered.
I began this thread full of fear and trepidation. Had the shadow government got to my eggs? Were they even eggs, or alien spawning pods? Was big brother assessing my all-bacon diet for possible weaponization?:tinhat:

Gotta say, happy with lots of the info I saw here. Sensible diets for a sensible, conspiracy free society)

BTW - battery farms are torture factories IMO. Anything that comes from them is tainted, ethically and taste wise. IMO.

I also now have proof positive Whimsey is a big girl. (frozen 0% whip cream ....)

I'm a big believer in grains, especially if you do any type of endurance sports. You need the carbs to fuel your body. I tried a no grain carb type diet years ago and my running suffered big time even though the weight melted off. I decided that it wasn't worth it.

The key is eating whole grains. There are a plethora of benefits and antioxidents you can't get through any other food source. The one thing I miss from the US is the variety of whole grains and would give a kidney for a bowl of steel cut oats.

Tell you what, I'll send you a crate of steel cut oats for a signed picture of yourself (preferably cuddling a naked Roald, but I'm flexible). You can keep your kidneys.

All hail the FO Cult Mother!
I heard marathon running isn't that healthy. Short all out sprints are better for creating growth hormone in the body.

yeah bro, a few experts out there consider long distance running to be chronic cardio on the body and they say it actually hurts you more than it helps you but no one is perfect right :) I enjoy long distance running too much to ever stop

so this new fake food safety bill pretty much gives the FDA control over the food supply on a global scale which over time will destroy small farmers and people who believe in being self sufficient and growing their own food on their own land and giving it out and or selling it to neighbors and friends, to sum it up, i...f the FDA doesn't control it, you can't have it, and Obama had no problem signing this one into law

Small family farm owner here.

We do dairy and beef.

We grow a variety of crops.

We are not organic, but I have experience with the process.

Bachelors Degree in Agribusiness and Animal Science

Ask me questions, and I will answer them candidly.

Just on the separate issue of portion control that has been mentioned here.

Most people look at things like a can of Campbell's Chunky Soup (for example) as a single serving because they don't look at the label. Is there a reason for single can of soup to contain 2 servings? Usually it's not a big deal in terms of calories but when you consider in some cases 8 or 900 mgs. of sodium and 30+ grams of carbs...per serv., you're actually getting double that.

If you feed on junk like this, what's the purpose of 1 Marie Calender pot pie being actually two servings? Who's going to eat half of one of those??

Point is when people by way of restaurants, prepackaged foods, etc. get accustomed to what the perception of a serving size is, it's much easier for them to overeat on meals they prepare for themselves. Their eyes and stomachs are programmed for it.:dunno:

WTC, you are perpetually surrounded by conspiracy and intrigue. Everyone, from your government to your next door neighbor has it in for you and is plotting against you.

Do you find any joy in life at all, or do you simply obsess foolishly about bullshit nonsense?

Guess what? In 100 years, not one damn thing that concerns you today will matter at all.

I'm watching some specialist videos
Organic food is absolutely better than non organic and most everyone in the world knows you are what you eat. Go ahead and tell me there is no difference in chickens raised in the dark crammed in a filthy building like commercial chickens, and chickens that can roam and eat bugs and grass and get sunshine and fresh air. Come on sayvara, anyone can tell you you're nuts!

Please, please, please do not confuse organic with free range. It is quite possible (and it is done) to label caged birds/eggs as organic - it depends on how they are fed.

I only buy Free Range or Barn chickens and only ever Free Range eggs. Forget organic - this is no better for you, it is just more expensive, with NO proven benefits.

Well in the video big corporations pay lip service to free range by letting them have a little tiny dirty space to go outside.

We need real farms to get our eggs from not factory ones.

And there is a huge difference in GMO feed and drugs and ones that don't.

Oi... your wishful thinking's making noise again... You Might want to see to that.

Basically what you keep falling back to - time and time again - is a straw man argument. What makes you a little bit unique is that you are using both positive image strawmen as well as negative ones. The positive ones are akin to greenwashing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man

You wish for your position to be the good one, the right one, the one that is morally pallatable to you. And motivate that, you just assume - without evidence other than more wishful thinking from people that reason like you do - that your position infers inherently good qualities in stuff. That is bullding a straw man. You argue from your fantasies about what things are and do instead of from RL.

You also do the opposite: since you want to view the government, the coporations, and similar as evil and bad... well then you start making up shit about them and saying they do evil things... because that is how you want to view them. That's the negative strawman. But again: it's just your fantasies. It's not real life you're building an argument from.

Hey Mr Psychology it doesn't change the fact that GMO food has been proven to be bad when tested in animals, and it doesn't change the fact that animals that are not fed their natural diets turn out shitty meat and eggs.

No they haven't. You don't even know what "GMO food" is, you don't know how it is fed, you don't have the science behind it.

Define the "natural diet" that turns out our "shitty meat and eggs".
