1) Shipping DVDs shouldn't take any longer than shipping books.

I have so far only ordered books at amazon.de. These were delivered in two workdays. You can track amazon's parcels via a link on their website.

2) What do you mean by "controlling" deliveries?

Of course, their system retains any available information on you: What items you viewed on the site, what you ordered, etc.
That's how they generate "recommendations" tailored spefically for you whenever you visit the site.

I don't think, your purchase of softcore DVDs is anything the CIA or Wolfgang Schäuble might be interested in.

On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend ordering a copy of How to Build a Dirty Bomb? or back issues of Konkret.

Amazon is great for everything but real porn, they do have a crap load of the softcore peach stuff though. If you are just worried that a parent or wife is going to see a charge on your credit card as porn or the package is going to show up with "BIG BOX OF PORN" written on the side, then don't be afraid to use a real porn site, its generally pretty discreet.

If you look at the DVD it is a Peach DVD, so unless softcore is your thing, that is crappy porn.
