American Idol Season 6

This is the first time I've ever watched American Idol. My daughter started watching the audition episodes and we decided to make it part of our weekly viewing.

What AMAZES me is how many of these singers can not carry a tune!!! One of Randy's criticisms is that the singers are 'pitchy'.

I'm sorry, but there is just no excuse for these people, who are supposed to be the best out of 10,000's of people who tried out to be off pitch! I mean really...how can anyone who wants to be a professional singer not be on tune? Isn't that one of the most fundamental things about singing??? Geesh!

I sing, and while I'm no professional, I know when a note is off tune. These guys, and several of the girls...apparently don't!

I only watch the auditions to see those losers actually trying to fulfill their dream when in fact they couldn't sing to save their own life.

Well I'm pretty damn sure it's fake. I think they even admitted it. Those peeps are paid to be bad to give the show another twist. Personally I find some of the "good" ones to be bad too.

I agree 100% Fox.I've been saying that for a couple of years now.I think maybe the first time it was real,but the network found out how popular the reject show was,then all of a sudden,every Charleton and no talent hack came out of the woodwork like fuckin' roaches under the fridge.

I HATE THIS FUCKING SHOW!!!

It is totally ruining TV and maybe even society to some degree imo.It's mind numbing television,turn your brain off and just watch.

Oh, and by the way,did you ever notice how there is some sort of "scandal" every season now,like Paula sleeping with one of the contestants or someone naked on the internet? I think it's either total bullshit or completely manufactured hype to try to keep the show more in peoples face.Just my opinion.

She wasn't as good as vocalist as Melinda or LaKisha, but she's head and shoulders above Haley, Blake, Phil, Chris, and "He who must not be named."

This season of AI has been totally ridiculous. I can't say I feel bad for the show, because Randy, Paula, Simon and the producers kept passing Sanjaya through to the next round of auditions over people that could sing better. They made their own bed, so now it's time for them to sleep in it. I watched the tryouts, and they cut a lot of good people.

Haley has no personality or substance, Blake and Chris R. are trying to be cheap Justin Timberlake ripoffs, Lakisha and Melinda are good vocalists but they don't hold my attention or go outside their comfort zones, Phil is too "pitchy" and erratic from week to week....the only person who has the combination of looks and talent is Jordin.

Every last damn person on that Idol show is a frickin' pretty face or a socialite. Singing isnt enough for AI. The best reason it's popular is because F-tards vote, watch and promote it. Turn the channel and save the rest of us from the recurring headlines about the Simon Cowells, William Hung's and Sanjaya's of the world. BLECH!
