Americans Are the "Most Attractive" People in World, Poll Finds

The United States, home to George Clooney and Jessica Simpson, came top in a poll of more than 5,000 globe-trotting Britons.

In second place was Brazil while Spain, which boasts Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz as one of its natives, was third.

Blonde, tanned surfers of Australia saw it voted into fourth place, while Italy came fifth.

Sexy Swedes, such as model Victoria Silvstedt, helped it into sixth spot, but England only made it into seventh place in the poll.

India was eighth, France ninth, and Canada finished off the top 10.

Most know I live in Colombia.
There is no doubt in my mind that Colombian women ( most of whom are as white as the average German for example) are the most attractive women in the universe.
Faces like angels, Bodies like no other country in the world.
Almost anybody who has been here will tell you the same.
And they didn't even make the list.

But the title does say "People" and if you equate the average Colombian guy in the mix, Homely as sin, anarexic looking stains maybe thats why Colombia didn't make the list.
But Mexico did? Laughable.
England? Oh jeez.
And the USA #1? Shit, when I'm in the states I go months without seeing a women I think is beautiful.
No Czech, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia?

I'm going to go ahead and say this must have been an American poll.

If we're talking the "average woman" you'd see out on the street of a busy city, America will NOT win. If you're talking movie stars, well, America still won't win, but they'd be closer.

Give me the average Canadian over the average American any day. And there are plenty other countries of which that is true also.

Actually I love America much more......hell I don't even love Colombia, but I do know that the women are best in both face and body.

it says the poll was of globe trotting britons then goes on to talk about celebrities........well you don't have to be a globe trotter to know what the hell jennifer connolly looks like......or rozie odennell for that matter.

I think that the moral of the story here, though, is that diversity is the key and if you want a pretty baby,

1. Put down the swastika
2. Tell grampa (and his 1950's bullshit) to fuck off back to the nursing home
3. Go find yourself a different skin tone.

Failure to do this will result in a buck-tooth freak of nature who will, ultimately, be resigned to marrying another buck-tooth freak of nature....and your genetic line is doomed forever.

Oh and one more thing,

4. Stay the fuck outta Arizona.

Most of those people polled will just be judging by what they see on the TV/internet/magazines. How many celebs in the States put on a tonne of make up, fake tans, dyed blonde hair, airbrushed images, plastic surgery. If you spend so much on looking good you will look good. The article just uses a few examples of good looking americans out of a population of 300 million And what is the articles definition of attraction, if it's visual/vain beauty then of course americans will look the best as they have the money and opportunity for plastic surgery, fake tans, make up, hair dye, explicit clothing as well as image altering software for photoshoots etc. If it's natural beauty then America is no different to any other country, many asian/middle eastern women are naturally beautiful but many choose not to wear make up, cover their hair and wear loose fitting clothing so they don't highlight their best features so won't stand out. Women like you get on the Real Housewives Of Orange County (why do I watch that :dunno: ) all look plastic, tanned and blonde all day long, without any sort of 'treatment' they would all look very different. What kind of crack are you smoking? If a person is one thing or another and they want one thing or another they are going to produce some mutant? Get out more. I see people of strictly one ethnicity or another and they can be attractive or not attractive.

As a person who has lived in both Canada and the U.S., I can't really argue with the poll winner. I'm slightly suprised, but I think the diversity in the U.S. is what won this one. Texas is chock full of high-end hotties, as are California, Georgia, and Florida. I am very disappointed at Canadas placement. France and Canada back to back at 9 and 10???

Hmmmmmmm... sounds like a slight against the French.

India ranked higher than both, and I don't know about that one. Although I haven't really been way out west in Canada, Eastern and Central Canada has some very pretty girls out there.

I read that but it was an online poll so anyone could have filled it in, maybe some people who have never travelled or those who have traveled only to America or even those that have traveled to countries other than America. Then the article lists celebs from each country that may have helped that country attain their position which doesn't make sense as globe-trotting tourists are unlikely to have seen these famous people in person. There are too many flaws for this survey to be taken seriously and what have blonde tanned surfers in Aus go to do with beauty:dunno: that's just an activity.

I don't even believe Brits filled that in, if they did the results would suggest it's just from what they've seen on the TV. Otherwise we'd have picked at least one Eastern European country in the Top 20 as our country is becoming flooded with beautiful women from Poland, Romania, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and so on. They are in general much better looking naturally than the indigenous women here, much friendlier and nicer too.
