It stems from Watergate, It's a stupid news media thing.

Would you prefer the term "Affair", because there is always "the Iran-Contra Affair", which I'm sure spawned some "gates".....

Andrew Breitbart said this morning on RedEye he has another photo he will not release because "the damage to the family has been done." He said, however, that if smear merchants like DailyKos try to continue to vilify him he will release said photo.
