anti-virus and spyware

I have ad-aware, spybot search and destroy, Avg. is that enough?

I ask because my comp is running slow, and these turn up nothing. I deleted all temp files, defragged the comp, still slow.

any advice?

I use sbybot for ad-wares too. My anti-virus is NOD32. I´ve tried others but found this one the best. My computer is safe and running well. Till now at least.. rsrs

I use Windows Live One Care and it works pretty well for me. No complaints. I think I paid something like 50 bucks for a year, and I get to add it on 3 different computers.

Norton is also very good but it is a memory whore.

I use Comodo firewall/antivirus, and it has been remarkable it updates it's virus signature about every other day, the firewall is solid, and the whole program is highly customizable to fit your needs. Best thing of all it's free.

I have a router that masks my real IP, plus a wonderful program called spyhunter. I've also got McAfee and Spybot.

While no other program found the malware messing up my computer, including ad-aware, spybot & my anti-virus program, this program did...

Ad-aware and spybot aren't very effective. Malwarebytes is a highly respected program, it's free though the free version will only scan the computer.For real time protection there are several options.

Try using the following:
CC Cleaner
found over 700mb of crap kicking round my computer and deleted and old registry entries and cleaner em up !
Also Windows One care is pretty good

advanced system care, ccleaner, avast, and malwarebytes all get my vote for free programs and all of them and a bunch more programs can be downloaded from: http://download.cnet.com/windows/
