Antichrist is Lars von Trier's latest film. It features graphic sex, masturbation, torture, and self-mutilation. The reaction to the self-proclaimed "best director in the world"'s new film has been mixed. Charlottle Gainsbourg won Best Actress at Cannes 2009, while the ecumenical jury gave the film a special "anti-award". The United States will get a cut version of the film, but it will be released in its original form in Britain.

I want to get my hands on the unedited version.

I'd like to see this, I heard it caused quite a stir when it was premired in Cannes. And now that I know it's going to be shown in its uncut form here I'm definitely seeing it :thumbsup:.

It's quite strange for the BBFC to allow a film of this kind to go through uncensored, the BBFC probably being one of the most conservative film councils in the world. Hopefully this is a sign that times they are a changing

Does the BBFC really censor that many films? What all movies from the US are censored/cut that make their way over there? Or is there a way for you to watch unedited movies in jolly old England?

I couldnt list them off the top of my head, but yes more so in the past but it still happens if the BBFC deem something to vulgar they'll cut it out or ban the movie completely.

Our version of Pulp Fiction had the Gimp scene cut out as well as they didn't show the needle going into John Travoltas arm because it was deemed inappropriate to see it enter the body... But don't worry i believe they changed all that.
