Anybody with a PS3 i need your HELP PLEASE!!!

what's up everyone i don't have a computer but i'm correctly on a PS3 80gb. does anybody know how to post links with a PS3 i have not posted a single link do to this problem!

You Might need a different web browser than the one on there. No idea if any other ones are compatible. :dunno:

what do you mean a different web browser? do you use a PS3 to log on to freeones.

Cant see why your ps3 cant be used to post links, but if you do have problems, its possible to partition the harddrive and put a linux based OS on the ps3 and use it as a conventional PC.
Do a search on the web theres many sites with tutorials on it.

I have the same problem there's no actually solution to it besides switching out the hard drive I just type out the whole link it takes for ever if you don't have a keyboard or that mini one that attaches to the controller sorry

you would have to type a link in manually (USB keyboards run about $20) and/or add another OS, say, linux. Make sure you know what you ar edoing first or all your data could be gone.

Yup. The PS3 browser needs a MAJOR overhaul. No copy/paste, bare minimum flash and javascript capabilities. Page formatting is problematic and buggy.. and if you open a text/keyboard window while the page is still loading... it'll automatically close when the page loading hits 100%.

STILL.. it's way better than the web browser of ANY console before it. Dreamcast, Saturn, PSP, etc.

I don't see why people would want to use the PS3 as a web browsing device. Using a PC is just way better. Just let the PC be a PC and a gaming device a gaming device.

I don't see why people have to make comments that completely avoids the question in order to prove a point that wasn't even brought up not everyone has a computer or the computer might be broken ever thought of that genius plus its harder to get a virus on a ps3

Wow! Your right, this is a very intelligent response...
What I'm trying to say is that a ps3 just isn't made to be used as an internet browser, so it's not that strange it isn't as userfriendly.

But hey, great thing Sony still takes the effort to improve it, what time could also be spent on making great games, right?!

yeah especially since sony is actually the ones making games & here I was thinking that other companies did that duh stupid me they could be doing what microsoft does and release alot of shitty games so that the xbox has the most games but if sony did that then xbox fans would only be able to say that the xbox has a better online service even though it lacks a web browser which even the dreamcast had (IMO xbox live is vastly overrated)

And uh... Sony does develop some games, though you're probably right it's a different part of Sony, and it doesn't have to do a lot with the web browsing thing.
Still, to me, having a web browser on a gaming machine has no extra value at all, but hey, that's just me.

Oh, and btw: it's not harder to get virusses on a ps3, at least not if you use your pc right.

of course having a web feature isn't a necessity nor does it raise the value of it but its still a nice feature & simple which is why I don't understand stand why the 360 doesn't have maybe its cause they don't want to risk a chance to lose computer sales and I don't feel the need to use commas I don't have a problem reading without them nor have I met someone so I'm sorry but I'm going to pass on your option

& it is harder to get a virus on your ps3 & it's not a matter of being careful with the use of your computer you can get a virus by simply opening an e-mail from your friend in the long run being careful just stalls the the chances of getting a virus eventually it'll happen even today's best virus protection won't always work when there's new viruses every other day & the ps3 isn't effected as much as computers
