Oh hella yeah, it happened again...

Yes. As unbelievable as it may seem, Sony was hacked again. It is not (entirely) Sony's fault that it is the target du jour for hackers everywhere. But, it is Sony's fault that its networks and servers seem to be trivial to hack and easy to pwn.

The trials and tribulations of Sony's epic struggle against hacks and data breaches over the past month or so are well-documented. You can read all about the breach of Sony Ericsson Canada, or Sony BMG Greece, or the Sony Playstation Network, or any of the other network attacks against Sony all over the Web.

Are there still people out there believing their data is secure with that company?

Did you mean to type Santa Claus, but put Sony instead? :dunno:

I guess I don't believe in either one.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Didn't this start because Sony sued a hacker? Now the hackers have joined forces and seem determined to drag Sony into the mud. It was a fairly pathetic company even before they started hacking their systems. But this just puts the spotlight on Sony's issues.

As you hear about the new tech startups and IPO's, it's odd to see some of the old guard tech companies spiraling down and/or struggling: Sony, Nokia, RIM... and if Nokia falls, you'll probably have Microsoft in that group by this time next year too.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
Fuckin hackers! Why do they gotta ruin shit? I don't view Sony in a lesser degree than I did before all this shit happened. They're just a victim of punk ass hackers. I don't know much about what's going on behind the scenes, but I'm sure if they felt like it, the hackers could go after Microsoft, Apple, RIM and inflict the same amount of damage.

^^ They're going after Sony because Sony prosecuted people for downloading music illegally.

Supposedly, Anonymous is behind it, but they claim it's a splinter group

Yes, I bribed and cheated to get this far
I like Sony. I have a Sony tv and a PS3. This could honestly happen to any company but these douchebags targeted Sony because Sony targeted them.

ragincaucasian

I don't think the G-spot exists!
I have a PS3 and the PSN is nice because its free.
however.....after getting the PS store back online yesterday (after weekly promises) they never made their 'welcome back' pack of free games available. Cunts. Fuck Sony....good riddance

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
Are there still people out there believing their data is secure with that company?

No but all i have is my PS3 and I still refuse to buy a second 360. I'll not use my CC ever again to purchase shit from sony online in any form or another. But I'll still use the service to play games online.

If Sony was smart, they'd hire the hackers that keep trashing their shit rather than sue them and pissing them off so their buddies can trash their shit even more. Obviously Sony's security guys are just sitting around picking lent out of their balls(or vaginas) while the network gets jacked up on their watch. A lot of big companies and governments learned long ago, if you can't beat them, have them join you. Rather than them trashing your shit, you pay them to keep other people from trashing your shit. Also, it thins out the hacker herd so there is one less hacker to worry about.
