Are players, casanovas, and playboys successful with women at an early age?

Like a lot of the players out there, do you think most were excellent with the ladies in high school and junior high?

Do you think there are players out there who did bad with the ladies at an early age and were 20 year old virgins without girlfriends but suddenly just turned into players?

I don't know. I would guess that most who are (true) playas develop those skills and that attitude at a fairly early age. But there probably are some guys who come out of their shells later in life or become jaded by women and then start playing them. But from what I've seen, most older playas (who never had any game before) are just guys who've made some money, find it easier to attract female attention because of the money and then start thinking that they're playas... when really they're just marks.

So no, I don't see how a guy can be a playa if he's got no game.

I think it depends on the person. Some get confidence and attitude early on, while others develop it later.

Being a player is all about charisma and charm. You either have it or you don't. There is exceptions, but they aren't the rule. These attributes are usually developed at a young age, and when they use these skills to get what they want, it becomes their personality throughout their adult years. People who are shy, little social skills or no "game" tend to have a different outlook when it comes to the opposite sex. Even if they were to develop the charm or looks necessary to become a player, I'd assume they would still have the values they had throughout their teenage and young adult years.

I don't think there is a hard and fast age rule. I was a slow starter, but now, later in life, I can pretty much - and have - get/got any chick I want/wanted.

Like the STman says ... it's about attitude and approach. Doesn't matter when you get it; or develop the confidence to get it.

Back when I had a Myspace profile I was joking on a forum and asked "Do you youngsters still get 'jiggy'?" Someone told me (in a kindly way) that was now unhip, and I didn't have the heart to say "Well I knew THAT." I also suggested replacing the term "bling" with "spang", but it never caught on.

I just think players are bred young. It's less likely a guy in his 30's is going to start knocking out women like it's his job. I'm not saying it can't or doesn't happen, it's just less likely.

Unless he was imprisoned in the basement/garage/tool shed, I don't think home schooling would make much difference-although Carrie was home-schooled for a while, and look at what happened during the prom.

As for "decent looking women" being tough to come by in town, I can't help but think the females might have had a similar opinion of the men-which would make everybody a perfect match for each other, if only they'd open up and express their feelings...unless the feelings tended towards "Hey, shouldn't you have a bell around your neck?" or "Do condoms come in a 'mini-micro' size? Oh, just curious...""
