As I stated earlier, I don't usually watch the show, but yesterday I made a point of taping it as I had a feeling they might poke fun what occured with Ashlee.... and of course they did. The mock Osama bin Laden tape where he berates the show was priceless.

Not that I disagree with Ashlee being criticized (though the booing does seem kinda rude), but if it's all because of her SNL debacle.... well, she not so different from other other popstars in this respect (including big sis I'll bet).

Well, first she was caught lip-synching. Then, at the Orange Bowl, she sang for real to legitimize herself. However, she sounded just awful. So she can't win lip-synching and she can't win singing for real. I kinda feel sorry for her. Especially since I like her songs better than Jessica's and I think she's hotter.

In that case I'll re-phrase my earlier statement: Ashlee's lip-synching doesn't make her different from most other popstars.... except that Ashlee got caught. It's fairly common for popstars to lip-synch or to sing in conjunction with recorded vocals when they perform live.

My point is yes, Ashlee can't sing, but neither can most popstars. As far as her "ability" to lip-synch, I have no clue if she's any good at it or not. Her SNL episode happened because her engineer played the wrong track that she was scheduled to perform (she couldn't switch to the song he was playing because they'd already done that song). If that had happened to Britney or J-Lo, they woulda looked just as foolish, since they can't sing either.

Britney and J'Lo can still sing better than Ashlee though. I watched some of her show on MTV and she's just brutal. Who ever producers her songs should win an award.
