I made Poutine a few days ago, well, sort of. I had to use frozen roast potatoes and instant gravy, but it was still one of the best meals I've ever had. Your whole country deserves reps for that idea! :wave2:

What's the average mileage (or kilometreage) a Canadian drives in a year? With the country being so vast and open, I would imagine it's quite high. My relatives in Aberta say it's nothing to drive for 4 hours just to do the weekly shopping. :wave2:

Hockey is a Canadian sport. It could be argued that it originated from Russia but it started here. Us Canucks invented basketball also. As for the CFL, don't know. All I know is they play with bigger balls.

Dr. Naismith, credited with creating basketball may, in fact, have been a Canadian but he invented the crappy game of basketball while in the U.S. and coached at the University of Kansas.

Funny you should mention. I was going to ask Ariel Rebel why so many people make such derogatory statements about Canadians - I am new in the U.S. - when many brilliant artists come from there?

Seriously? Morrissette over Twain? :confused::confused::confused:

And "eh" must be a northern Canada thing. Down here I don't think I've ever heard ANYBODY end a sentence with "eh". It is an absurd stereotype.

Errrm, it's 'Aye' not 'eh' and how many letters are in the Canadian alphabet?

.....52!...

...A, aye, B, aye, C, aye...........:D

Do you people actually watch Canadian Football and why don't you just adopt American NFL rules? Wouldn't you make more money from Americans if you standardized your game? We play the same versions of Hockey....

Two names, Doug Flutie....Warren Moon!....:D

I drive alot. I'll drive two to three hours just to go to a certain store...but it really depends on where you live. In places like Saskatchewan and Alberta, there's only a handful of cities, and the rest is open plains so if you live anywhere outside a city you kinda have to drive to get anywhere good. But I'm in Ontario...cities are like, every 15 mins apart. lol.

Whoa...you're Canadian?:sunny:

Ashleigh ur canadian? where u from?

By the way, a friend of mine lives in New York and he says that on your beer it doesn't say the percentage of alcohol, but it's like 3% typically. Here in Canada the standard is 5% usually.

However, my favourite beer is good ol' American MGD, which is 4.7% here.

I am definitely Canadian. Ontario born and raised...but I'm moving to the Maritimes next week! and MDG dude, are you kidding? BLech.

Milk in bags is just stupid to me, Timmie Ho's is overrated and was only good in the 90's and sales tax is different in every province. Its 13% in Ontario....averages 12-15 I think though.

Do canadians have to get an extra shot before they start school?

shot as in needle? I dunno, we all have to get some form of booster shots before school I think...*shrugs* I dunno, I was too young to remember and I don't have children of my own so I have no idea lol.

It really depends on where you live out here in Saskatchewan. When you get down to Regina you have several cities within driving distance. Up North, however, there are pretty much two cities; Saskatoon and Prince Albert.

Most people don't need to drive anywhere far in a normal day, though. People in the cities don't need to go anywhere outside the city usually, and most don't. It is when you get out to the towns in the middle of nowhere (Trust me, we have a lot of nowhere here) where you have problems, but most of the small towns out here have things like supermarkets...

Do people get arrested for Jaywalking in Canada? Also, what exactly is Jaywalking?

And do you find that European fashions or trends catch on in Canada before the U.S? (if at all) :wave2:
