They have been talking about this for over a year now. They are supposed to be running in 2010.

Which is sad, because the main character is a complete moron and his best friend is a robot that bends things.

I love the show, My av at the site I mod on is an animated gif of bender. It's from the episode when they are on the planet with the Star Trek members, and Bender picks up the Tommy Gun. My sig says, "bite my shinny metal ass". Yup, I'm a fan.

Yeah I've always had that same thought. I do think I heard somewhere that their writing staff has more PhD's than any other show out there :dunno:. But thats always the way with shows that have some sort of intellegence, the studio does not know how to market them so they're bumped off for more reality shows. Which as we all know are so stimulating
.Actually, I think I heard that on a DVD commentary. Just to show how much of a dweeb I actually am.

I got all the episodes on Ebay for cheap...actually on half.com but why quibble...?
I have a definite thing for Lela...been a big fan since episode 1.
My 8 year old likes Futurama enough to watch it instead of the Disney Channel when Futurama is on Comedy Central...that's a major compliment to Futurama!

Reminds me of when Hill Street Blues first came out...I was floored at how good it was, and started watching every episode.
Then it was announced it was being canceled...I was flabbergasted.
Of course...the rest is history.
It won something like 9 Emmys, the whole world started watchin, and it ran for a good while...
Futurama is/was as great in it's way...it just didn't win any Emmys in time, or some other twisted twist of Fate.
I don't get why Dinosaurs was ever taken off of the air...I still laugh at Earl and Roy, the Baby and the Boss. Got the whole run on DVD...
