Love comes and goes but FreeOnes is forever.
have all the baseball players caught doing steroids ruin this era for you....have some clean players with stellar numbers such as Jim Thome, Carlos Delgado, Manny Ramirez (how he never won an MVP beats the hell outta me) get overlooked even though they have had amazing stats...

Guys were putting up playstation numbers...Brady Anderson hit 51 homeruns one...Greg Vaughn too....

Looking to go where no FreeOnes member has gone before!
No, Bud Selig has ruined my faith in MLB. Hopefully he'll retire soon.

I'm going to cum when I get my Freeones T-shirt!
No, there will always be people trying to find ways to cheat, regardless of the sport, I just ignore it as best as I can.

It is what it is. All sports statistic are just a function of how good the player was and the conditions he played them in with some luck thrown in. As long as people understand the circumstances they happened in it then it doesn't matter that much to me. I don't condone breaking any rules (Which didn't really happen), but I also don't hold any statistics that are mere numbers to be sacred either. To me the worst thing about steroids is the fact it makes it harder to compare players from across eras, which is just something I'm curious about not something that I think necessarily ruins the integrity of the sport considering they weren't really banned when most of the players used them. In the future when people look back on this era of baseball they will just have to use their judgment on what the players did and how good they really were, just like I can look upon individuals who played in one of baseball "dead ball eras" and realize there offensive skill is greater than it looks just going by the numbers.

Pain heals, chicks dig scars, Freeones lasts forever
Every single player that has been found to use steroids, at all, at any time while a player, should be removed from the game, and all stats of said player should be stricken.

Period.

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
The blind eye that baseball turned toward steroids was very predictable after the strike of 1994 left everyone cold. The McGwire/Sosa home-run race bought baseball back in a big way and the greedy owners were all-too-willing to let it ride. Now, look at the mess we have.

Part of me wants to say.....let's call this the "steroid era".....let 'em cheat with steroids up front. They're doing it anyway....why not bring it into the open? Just like the "dead ball" era can't be compared to the hitting stats after the ball was changed in the 1910s. Make it like wrestling.....the stats don't really matter but the numbers will be very impressive, lots of home runs, big crowds, $8 hot dogs.....everybody gets rich and the fans pay more and more for a bogus version of a great game that has been perverted by greed and ego.

What a shame. I'm afraid there's no going back.

Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio? A nation turns its lonely eyes to you.

Who's to say they're clean?

IMO, anyone with a big body these days probably have used, but I really don't look at them negatively. I don't think anyone who used steroids should have an (*).

Keep the records and lets just move on.

Got two nipples for a dime?
I absolutely love the game of baseball. My love of the sport will never change. I absolutley hate MLB now. I'll go watch the kids play. What is worse for me, more than the "steroid" era is the fact that all of these players out & out LIED. Clemens. Bonds A_Roid & who knows what other players have lied. For the sake of the players who played the game clean, they MUST release the names of the other 104 liars-I mean players.:wave2:

I need to clean my screen
i do think that given the explosion of certain stats has made those stats seem less fun with it seeming that everyone with the huge stats was a juicer.you are comparing stats over time with guys like aaron and mays and then you have freaky guys like bonds and mcgwire, it is hard to make it feel good or fun.

I fucking hate MLB! Spoiled, overpaid brats on drugs.
If I want to watch good baseball, I'll go see a little league, high school or college game anyday.

IMO Selig is 10x better than david stern. I dont understand why people get so upset over steroid users anyway, expansion and smaller stadiums played a huge role in stats going up.

Seems like you could say that for football as well....

Lately though, who really cares, no one watched baseball like they used to.
