Love comes and goes but FreeOnes is forever.
Well since Manny Ramirez got caught recently....is the drug testing working and players are getting caught....but I guess I will always have suspicion of players doping...I hope Albert Pujols is clean....

To be honest, I wish that the issue never came to the forefront in the first place. The hangover is too depressing.

I really don't know what can be done at this point other than to reign in the player contracts. I believe all athletes who dope up do it for the money. If we limit the money, maybe we can limit the usage.

If the most money a player can make from playing a sport is capped at, say, $3mil a year, then in order to make "ARoid Cash" the player will have to present himself as a candidate for endorsements and maybe only in the endorsement world can the "invisible hand" of the market be the regulator for behavior...:dunno:

Offline? What's that?
For all the people who voted yes

IF steriods ruined stats for you, then the fact that Babe Ruth didnt play against any African Americans must ruin his stats too.

If FreeOnes was a woman, I'd marry her!

Big difference.
Steroid use is an individual conscious choice.
Ruth didn't have a choice who he played against.

Steroids make you big and strong. but do nothing to help your hand eye cordination it still comes down to hitting a 90 plus MPH ball with a stick. Bonds can juice all he wants he still has to make contact with he does, unless he is in the playoffs

I changed my middle-name to Freeones
I feel bad for the players like Tony Gwynn, Fred Mcgriff, Ken Griffey...

They as far as i know were straight players...

yerba802

If you had 3 wishes, they'd all be Freeones.
This is just another 'era' that we have to lump in to baseball history. What makes this one any different than the 'era' in which blacks & latinos weren't allowed to play? Are we to revere Babe Ruth anymore than Barry? Yeah, Barry juiced. The Babe never had to face Satchel Paige. Hell, if Josh Gibson were allowed to play, the Babe wouldn't even have been the homerun "king". There was the 'dead ball era'. Then there was the 'lively ball era'. What about the spitball era? There was also the amphetamine (greeny) era. I'm not condoning steroid use at all. I just think it's absurd that so many are up-in-arms as if this is the first time in baseball history that the playing field wasn't even.

Sorry tried it many times.... 2-1 scores bore me...

:glugglug:

Hmm. 2-1 is quite a popular baseball score too. Some people like to watch 2 people tossing a ball to one another...and others like a more "free flowing" sport with little stoppage and lots of *real action*...

Although...do we assume that professional soccer/football is a *clean* sport or is it just as dirty as baseball and American Football?:dunno:

At least there are no ties in baseball, and most of their individual games have less luck determining thier outcome. In soccer I can't wait to see the mighty 0-0 tie in one of the games when I'm watching it.
