Why do people like him? Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't he try to crack down on media outlets that don't portray him in a positive light. Given his connections, elitism, and how I've read he usually conducts himself he seems like a typical politician, except even worse in some regards.

although i think any bloke, like me, who is a fan of tony soprano,
has got to have a little grudging respect
for such a shameless corrupt, sex mad, septuagenarian

the crazy thing is that italy is still such a great country
i mean some estimates say that 10% plus of the italian economy is illegitimate through being controlled through mafia, camorra etc

but it is still one of the world's leading economies
with great food, culture, fashion/design, cars, women ....
