Obviously, to answer this question seriously, for all its faults, and there are plenty of them, The USA is still, by far, the best country to live in. Sadly our politicans look out for special interest above all else. Cash for clunkers was a fucking joke of a program that made no sense to any person with any level of intelligence. Basically people who really could not afford a new car were encouraged to go out and by new cars. From what I read on the internet most of these cars that they chose to buy were foreign made. So not only did this program NOT HELP MICHIGAN, it will hurt car dealers in 2 years when those people default on their car loans and IF ANYONE PAID ANY ATTENTION TO THE HOUSING CRISIS that will most definitely happen.
