Seem to remember Chicago Style winning hands down, I could be mistaken though...

There are 3 places from San Fagcisco on the list, but I don't see Tommaso's or Extreme Pizza on that list. :wtf:

The dude didn't look hard enough....this list is incomplete if it doesn't include Angelo's on 2nd St. in Manhattan. NY pizza rules beyond a doubt and Angelo's is the best IMO.

Any pizza from a NYC street corner can be considered the best in the world. I lived for 2 years in Brooklyn and had the best pizzas at the time. If I move back again I can live on pizza every day of the week.

Two toppings at the most at one time for me. I hate those pizzas where you can't even see the cheese topping. :nono:
I also hate those pizzas with a pineapple topping (that is such a sacrilege)
Finally, I hate those pizzas that are all f'en soggy on the bottom of the crust (from having too many toppings)

Personally, I like a little bit - o pepperoni, high quality italian sausage chunkettes and / or maybe some thinly sliced shroomers and slices of bell pepper over the top, but never all 4 at once. It just isn't pizza that way.

One last thing, I always order it well done. Try it :yummie:

I used to feel the same way until I tried a pineapple and ham pizza. Salt & sweet.....OMFG it is heaven on earth! Try it, F! Well done, that is....:1orglaugh

The government did it.
Whoa, I'm not bashing Chicago, but THE BEST overall pizza in the U.S comes from NYC. Of course since I originally come from NYC I'm a little biased but Chicago pizza is the best if you want deep dish....but NYC all the way:hatsoff:

I like thin, thin, thin crust. New York style. Although, the best pizza I've ever had was at the Original Pizzeria Regina in the North End of Boston...

Holy Shit I could eat that all day. Just plain cheese. Nothing else needed.

Amici's is my pizza of choice, and listening to 49ers radio broadcasts the post game show is usually at Extreme Pizza. I think I'll check it out tomorrow.

Amici's is pretty good too. Extreme is a hole in the wall, and in a kind of shitty neighborhood (Folsom between 6th & 7th), but it's some pretty damn good pizza.

Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.

I share the same viewpoint with you. I didn't know what I was missing until I tried it, and it was delicious to say the least.

The best thin slice pizza in Chicago is Vito & Nick's on S. Pulaski.

I'm cool with Pineapple/Ham (Canadian Bacon) aka The Hawaiian. It's a cool change. My fav pizza topping would be sausage. I just recently *discovered* the supreme awesomeness of pepper flakes...holy shit those little buggers are good!

That was a pretty shity list. :2 cents: However, I will agree it's hard to get a decent slice in the Midwest.

pizzamaking.com has some good recipes on their site though.
