Biggest Porn Stars In 2009?

Are there sites that rank the ongoing and shifting popularity of porn stars?

I guess this could be assessed by how much they draw money in DVD sales, though most DVD's have more than one star - some have many.

I ask because at a different forum, people were discussing who they would like to have feature at my local strip club and someone raised Sunny Leone - saying "I don't know if they could get someone that huge"

The same club just had Jenna Haze a few weeks ago and I was surprised that someone would consider Sunny Leone a bigger star than Jenna Haze.

Sunny's got the marketing muscle of Vivid to pump her up, so I guess that influences people, while Jenna just hired her first publicist this week, so her stardom is based on a much larger, broader more varied body of work.

I was wondering if there are sites that try to rank porn stars in objective ways.

FreeOnes does a great job of providing a daily top 20 list of the most searched porn stars on their website. They provide a monthly top 20 list as well or you can check those charts for each porn star here to see how they've ranked over time. It's the only and best measure I'm aware of so far. It does get influenced some by who is pictured on the front page on a day to day basis.

There's another popular porn website that provides the same but to my knowledge only on a yearly basis. Again it is ranked by searches or link hits.

There's other lists out there but they are more subjective.

It's a tough thing to gauge. You watch FreeOnes top 20 lists and it is pretty clear there is a large big tits community here. Another porn forum I visit is currently doing a favorite pornstar contest and the names are totally different. It is dominated by stars with smaller tits. Every one of the final eight also does anal.

The great thing about porn is that there's something and someone for everyone out there. Both Sunny and Jenna and any other star that puts as much effort as they have into their careers have big followings.

PS - some of the larger porn networks also provide listings as I recall but I'm not sure on what basis they are made.
