Tiffany Shepherd, a Biology high school teacher from Port St Lucie in Florida was fired from her job last week after school administration learned that she was also working part time as a bikini girl on charter fishing boats, where hostess would sometimes walk around topless.
The administration learned about the teacher's past time when they saw her "sexy bikini pictures" on the Internet.
I have a hard time agreeing with the decision to fire this teacher, but I have an even
harder time
disagreeing with it. Should someone's
personal life have any impact on their professional career or their ability to do their job? Eh, it's hard to say. But, either way, this is the
reality of the situation...
As a teacher,
like it or not, this woman had a
responsibility. Her responsibility was to provide her students with a proper learning environment and teach them the subject of Biology, all to the best of her ability. The fact that she worked part-time as a piece of eye candy, strutting around as a bikini girl on charter boats (who went topless, by the way) should tell you that she didn't take her teaching career all that seriously. Not to mention, she allowed pictures of herself to be posted online, which can be viewed by anyone...including her HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.
Her students were in
high school; AKA -
every single one of her students was a horny teenager. Having these pictures "surface" online could've ended up being a
huge distraction to her classroom, which could've greatly effected her student's ability to learn.
You
know that most of,
if not all of her students were doing nothing but picturing her naked and talking shit about her behind her back. I know it seems unfair to her, but her tainted image not only effects her students and their ability to learn, but it also effects the entire school system. I'm not saying that I 100% agree with the school's decision to fire her, but I wouldn't stand up and take
her side either.
I pictured my attractive female teachers naked
enough as it was. If I saw "sexy" pictures of them online, it would only make it worse and I would never be able to concentrate while I was in her class.
