Blagojevich indicted, celebrates in Disney World
By Jimmy Orr | 04.03.09

Hey Rod Blagojevich, you’ve just been indicted on 11 counts of wire fraud, two counts of extortion conspiracy, and one count each of racketeering conspiracy, attempted extortion, and making false statements to federal agents. What are you going to do next?

I’m going to Disney World!

Circus

Well, it would be more accurate to say he was already in Disney World when news of the indictment came. And the fact that he was there just adds to the surrealism that has become Cirque de Blagojevich.

You can read all about his legal troubles here. But we’ll tell you about the drama that occurred when one enterprising reporter tracked him down.

Disney

Luckily, the Florida TV reporter had the video cameras running when she found her prey.

The always cordial ex-governor didn’t seem to mind too much. It was Mrs. Blagojevich who ran interference. Impressively. Like William “Refrigerator” Perry blocking for Walter Payton.

Undaunted, the inquisitive reporter asked the Mrs. if she could ask the ex-gov some questions.

“I don’t think so. Please leave,” Mrs. Blago said. Unpleasantly we might add.

In fact, when Rod seemed to be up for a conversation, his wife turned and appeared to briefly lecture him. Then she went looking for some beefier help.

Nice guy

At that time, the reporter swooped in and politely asked, “Do you feel like answering my questions, sir?”

“I’m enjoying Disney World with my kids and I don’t think you’re supposed to be here. I’m happy to talk to you at the appropriate time,” he pleasantly told the reporter.

Joe the Plumber?

Then out of the blue, an individual who looked like Joe the Plumber intervened and said, “You don’t need to be bothering him.”

The next line was the best, however. The plumber lookalike said, “Until he’s convicted, just leave him alone.”

For Blago’s sake, let’s hope the guy wasn’t his attorney.

Conspiracy...

I see conspiracy twice for two separate things.

That makes this irrelevant. You know how people "think" about conspiracies."

So, that must make them not true. Start thinking people.

He was allowed to go to another state and to Disney World?

An average person wouldn't be allowed to leave their county, not to mention their state.
And, for much less of a crime.

Must be nice to be above the law.

If you wish to live wisely, ignore sayings including this one.
Took them long enough.

Why was my picture deleted?
God, I can't wait until he goes to trial; I hate Rod, but he's going to put on a show and make it interesting, probably something along the lines of, "Poor me, the whole world is out to get me."
