British Airways asks employees to work without pay

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
CEO foregoing a whole year of pay ? £750k saved
Staff foregoing 1 month ? £150 million saved

You do the maths

If true, that's allot of money. The problem is what effect do you think displacing £150 million in one month from the marketplace will have on the overall economy..not just British Airways' economy?

Unless you mis-typed, I'd guess that you're underestimating the annual pay of the CEO.

But I'm not sure...

It'll be spread over a year, at least that's what they've said

Willie Walsh's salary is £734k pa

Ok then. That's fairly modest for a CEO, actually.

(Whether he actually "earns" that much is another matter!)

Nonetheless, the CEO should probably skip at least 6-9 months worth of salary in order to feel the pinch as much as the regular staff who would be asked to work for nothing (by whatever method)...

Fair enough request they dont actually do all that much in my opinion anyway.
