to my knowledge i haven't heard posey whine once about the situation, the fact is he's only been a catcher for 4 years and he made a mistake by being on his knees when he should have been on his haunches, the play was rough but not out of bounds

Busters a damn good catcher, and one of the best ball players around at the moment. while i will admit that the charge was legal and fair in the game, it was still unwarranted. the ball was in mid throw, and Buster didnt even look at that asshole cousins until the last second. cousins had a perfect shot at sliding into home without even hitting Buster the way he did.

Buster has come out and said that while he acknowledges that it was a legal move, it wasnt needed. he had plenty of room. so what was the point? at all? just to be a dick id imagine.

Domshooter. Poseys a mediocre catcher at best. Profile says your 21, when you grow up and dry up behind the ears you may have a better perspective. The fact is he blocked the plate and with this you open yourself up to collisions. Poseys a sulking bitch, when he put himself in that position. Stick to tennis and leave the world to the more seasoned of us.

Hey this is baseball. It was a clean hit. Scott Cousins has apologized. Buster Posey has accepted it.

Buster Possey's not there for his catching ability. He's there for his bat. It was what they needed to get them past the Padres, past the Braves, past the Phillies, past the Rangers in winning the World Series. He batted .305 since his call up in May 2010.

Now that he's gone. Don't be surprised that the Giants offer a major league contract to Bengie Molina.

I played four years varsity baseball in high school and was a catcher so I would like to think that I know a thing or two about playing the catcher's position. That being said, it's Posey's fault that he got injured because he was positioned wrong. You have to let the runner see the plate and as a catcher you should stay away from the plate unless you have the ball

As for the hit, I'm torn 3 ways. I don't think the railroad was quite necessary, but he made that judgement mid-game and it WAS fair... 2nd, I don't see why Posey stood how he did... And 3rd I feel bad for Posey. That hit looked like it hurt like hell. I mean did you see the way he like flopped like a fish out of water right afterwards and slapped the ground? I mean it LOOKED pretty painful... :dunno::2 cents:
