I just buckled like a belt and bought the special edition with bonus DVD, art book and poster, all for £14.99, brand new.

COD2 was just a simple remake.... all current and old WW style games feel exactly the same as each other..this new style in COD4 should be interesting.

I finished it this morning after five-ish hours, lots of achievements.

Also a mini-game at the very end (after the end titles) is worth playing.

It's definitely not over hyped . The single player game is short but great and the multiplayer part is just amazing , some of the best MP I have ever played . All in all this is one of the best FPS period .

well looks like i going to give it a try, all my bud have desserted halo3 for cod4 think i might rent it first to see what it is like, really enjoyed playing battle field online on the xbox and a few people has said it is as good if not better, so i think i will be into it, but still waiting for guitar hero 3 the most, oh and mass effect !!

Aaaawwwwesome game. The graphics are the best I've seen so far on the xbox, and the gameplay is so addictive.

How fast did everyone do the task at the begining? I was 36 seconds-ish.

I got just under the time limit because I didn't know what I was doing at the very start. I didn't bother trying it again.

I did it in 28 seconds. How you're supposed to do it in under 20 and score the achievement is beyond me. Now I'm playing through for the second time, looking for the laptops.

Anyone wanna try this:

The following works on the mission entitled "Hunted". After fighting your way through a basement (after going underneath a bridge, across a field, et cetera), you'll reemerge outside. A nearby house next to a vending machine and a car should be your target from here. Inside the house, there's a laptop on the table. This is a piece of Intel, and collecting all thirty of them in the game will unlock all of the Cheat options available. If you collect the Laptop, and then head through the nearby checkpoint, it will be permanently acquired on your save file. Kill yourself at this point (a Grenade is an easy way to do so), and backtrack to the house. Collect the Laptop again, go to the checkpoint, kill yourself, and repeat the process. By doing this, you can collect thirty laptops without actually collecting all thirty of them.

Ooooo that sounds like a sneaky cheat. I might give that a go (I'll try it first of all without cheating, but I can't seem to find ALL of them...)

Got this yesterday for the 360, like it so far, on the first american mission. Like a breath of fresh air from the world war games. Doesn't beat Gears of War tho!!!

You can get a time bonus for accuracy so try using the pistol intead of the machine gun.

Can anyone help me with the "Man Of The People" (save the farmer) achievement, from what i've heard you have to shoot 3 guys before they kill him and it's supposed to be on the level "Hunted" but i can't seem to find him.

^It's near the beginning of Hunted. Just shoot the asshole pointing the gun at the farmer, the SAS take care of the rest. It's worth 10 points.
