What are your thoughts on Cartridge World recycled - refilled ink cartridges ?

My printer keeps sending an ink cartridge empty notice well before the ink has drained out of the cartridge. Virgin cartridges never do that, they're always bone dry when they need replacing.

The sales reps at my local Cart World aren't very sympathetic, even when I return the 1/2 filled cartridges with their original receipt they're kinda.... Uhhh huuuuh

Also, I hate those g-damn tiny pc boards that are glued onto the cartridges that prevent tampering once they're installed. This is the creation of a total rip off artist, IMNSHO. It's the most egregious manifestation of capitalism ever and the prick should be run over by a steam roller.:ban:

I don't like the printer ink cartridges eithier.Don't print much at home and it seems if they sit for a while unused they dry up and you have do all that nozzle cleaning stuff to get them flowing again.And the new cartridges at like $25 a pop are overpriced IMO.I have one of those you refill em yourself kits and they only work so so and can be a little messy.

If your just printing documents mainly (not color photos) might be better off with just an old fashioned ribbon type printer.

But for ink cartridge types and color photos etc I would love to hear what ideas anyone else has thats good?

I hat those things they put on the cartridge also. I also hate the electronic security features they are starting to put in some of them so you have to buy their cartridges. A lot of the time they screw up and you can't even get their own cartridges to work in their own printers because of the manufactures greed.

I've tried to refill them in place with one of those syringe type ink filler thing - o - majiggers, but to no avail.

Ahh..the good old days. Remember when you could buy a box of.....for only....

That's what I need.

Every time I go to buy a box or two of cartridges, I suddenly realize how that girl in the anal gang bang movie feels.

And there is ABSOLUTELY NO GOOD REASON for it. Sorry, the hijacking is now over.

I do the same. 5p a sheet is a decent price if you ask me. And it means I don't have to maintain a printer with ink and paper. So we're all happy
