I would say population policies aren't strict enough. I'm not the first to say it, but it is illegal to drive a car without a license, you shouldn't own a dog without a license and most states require an education course to get a hunting license...., but any two idiots can create a baby. Too bad support for anything like this is political suicide. Yesterday I read an article about Rick Santorum who said the reason Social Security is in jeopardy is because the abortion culture has lead to a shortage of workers to support retirees. And this shithead has aspirations of becoming president.

It's not the fact that the US won't be "white" that concerns me... it's the impression that most of the latest wave of immigrants are not integrating and "getting with the program" for lack of a better phrase like previous waves did. It's about shared values (as much as I hate to use that played out word), you know, the things we all believed in that made America great. It just feels like we are losing that for many reasons these days. :dunno:

This is what Britain's Prime Minister was talking about a few weeks ago. Multiculturalism has failed. The "melting pot" has cooled. The individual ingredients are sitting isolated in a cold pan instead of blending together. An immigrant can come to certain neighborhoods in America and live their whole life without learning the language of the majority, without eating food any different from what they left behind, without interacting or doing business with anyone not like them.... I don't think immigrants should be made to abandon all ties to their native culture, but I do think everyone should be more proactive in integrating them into their new society. A person or group of people shouldn't be allowed to go anywhere and demand respect from the existing population without showing some respect as well. To suggest this gets you labeled as an elitist trying to strip people of their noble heritage.
