And why so much cursing and judging? Are you trying to convince youself so that you can feel some sense of moral indignation at those who do not agree with you on this issue?

So theoretically if the US at some point has more people with the last name Gonzalez or Garcia than Johnson or Williams....it shouldn't matter as long as they stand for the ideals, rights and laws the US was founded on. Right?

You wouldn't be living in Mexico no matter what the circumstance because in theory what separates the US from Mexico isn't the race or ethnicity of the people that live here/there.

I don't disagree with anything you said dude. Again, the concern is that not all but MANY of the recent waves of immigration are not assimilating, and I foresee mucho problemos in our future. Just as one example, there are stories all over the US of communities overrun with immigrants and the towns are now bankrupt. I see it in the DC area, many communities of immigrants who live in basically segregated area that only cater to their own people, insulated by choice. Now THAT is not American IMHO. And to further my point, look at Mexico, how it's run, it's treatment of its people, it's standard of living...it's not their race that scares me, it's the majority of their culture and values.

I think the first generation and some of the second generation of immigrants always behave like this. They feel safer in their own communities and fear others, they may have been born and raised in a different culture and speak a different language and will try to replicate that in their new country, some people are too old to change. Their children and grandchildren will be born in the US and grow up speaking American and go through the American education system, learning American will help them integrate as will growing up with people of other colours. Your ancestors were probably the same when they first came, the Irish were treated like scum back in the 19th century and they stuck to one another but now a century later they are unrecognisable from non-Irish whites. Soon young mexicans will not recognise the culture of their ancesters and will slowly adopt parts American culture, it'll just take time and patience.

and finally the systematic destruction of an entire culture and its people

There's lots of white folks on this forum that are good people, but it's people like you (in the real world) that are the reason that Caucasians get such a bad reputation among minorities. I have nothing against Hispanic immigrants mainly because they are generally family oriented and religious.
It was inevitable to have mass migration from Central America and Mexico to the US simply because those countries down there are generally run by corrupt and inept gov'ts and this is the only place that has decent standards of living and general economic stability.
That being said, there's nothing wrong with the notion of being proud of one's race. However, there is a glaring hypocrisy. If a black, Asian, or Hispanic proclaims to be proud of their race no one bats an eye. If a white person proclaims the same thing he/she is racist. We can thank this hypocrisy to "liberal white guilt".
