The bubble will burst in China before 2016. Remember in the '80s when Japan's economy was invincible, perfect, how they bought everything in sight. But by 1990 the good times were over. China is headed for the same.

I know some nice chinese. When I refer to china I refer to the "Communist" "government" of china. Hence my derision.

itll depend more on how the economies go in the coming years, but China's rise is almost too good to be true, theyre doing it in unconventional ways...ways that true capitalist societies dont. How long can the Chinese keep it up will be interesting to watch, but the US economy not doing well helps them out alot

china does not have a genuinely Communist government. hard-line capitalist would be a more apt description.

1: Not every chinese is awesome; the law of averages mandate that every nation gets it's fair share of arseholes (Even Switzerland has Nestle).
2: The chinese "Communist" party endorses slave labour.
3: The chinese "Communist" party harvests organs from unwilling people while they're still alive.
4: The chinese "Communist" party sells weapons both to the Taliban and to anyone who can pony up the cash, including those who will attack the Taliban and innocent civilians. Weapons sold to the Taliban include NTFW20 20MM anti armour rifles which can penetrate light armour such as APCs and make the tightly packed troops inside look like marmalade.
The chinese "Communist" party also sells the latest high tech light weight body armour to the taliban. Afghanistan borders china in case you weren't aware.
One wonders how much china helps the Taliban, given that they're partially responsible for the decline of the Western world, allowing china to rise faster, easier and with fewer rivals.
5: The chinese "Communist" party takes other countries products and illegaly and immorally copies and sells them.
6: The chinese "Communist" party fails to pass laws to lower it's countries greenhouse gas emissions.
7: The chinese "Communist" party regularily violates human rights, including illegally folllowing and spying on those in other countries who's crime is simply to speak the truth about The chinese "Communist" party .

The trouble with most of your list, vod, is that during the last 150 years, almost every nation with an organized government has been guilty of similar if not the exact same charges. The names change but power does what it does.

There are several big things I think will come back to bite China in the ass. From the outside, the most obvious is lending so much to the US. There's no way China will ever get their money back and the dollar will continue to lose value through 2020. They most likely knew this going in and are betting the US will need to cut some sort of deal in the future. Not to sound like a Fox News commentator but folks in Alaska better figure out how to say "Drill, baby, drill!" in Mandarin.

They also need to start dumping money into quality infrastructure. A country as large as China could spend half of its GDP on new projects and it wouldn't be enough but expanding their rail system and bringing high speed rail to rural areas should be a priority. With so much new wealth and an actual middle class (which didn't even exist 40 years ago) the larger cities on the mainland are becoming overcrowded and are always congested with traffic. There is no rush or peak hour in some cities, just a near-constant traffic jam. Beijing is limiting the number of new vehicle registrations with a lottery but that's not a remedy. Making it easy for people to live well outside of the city but have less than an hour commute via rail or other mass transit system would help considerably. Getting more cargo off the highways would be even better.

China could also use nationwide standards for big things like worker's rights and building and pollution regulations. Heck, they could even stand to improve simple things like contract law.
