Clairvoyance a Myth? Watch this....

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Seattle Mariners color announcer Mike Blowers made this pre-game prediction for a home run for pretty much nobody Matt Tuiososopo and called his shot....exactly down to the pitch count and precisely where the ball would be hit. I don't know what the odds are on this but they have got to be off the fucking scale.....take a look.

How do you explain this kind of shit??

Just posted today so I'm sure there will be a youtube version with video out soon. Fucking freaky!!!

FreeOnes is pumping through my veins!
That is freakin' cool! :D

Where's James Randi when you need him? ;)

Actually James is getting on in years now so we don't need to disturb him on small insignificant occurrences such as these. This was a lucky guess nothing more. If this guy is truly psychic then let's see him predict all of the home runs throughout the entire season? Will he be able to do that? No, because anyone can guess something to be right one time out of a thousand or ten thousand because it's just logical that something like that would happen. But to do it continuously without fail - then and only then, could someone be called a real psychic. But that'll never be done, because these predictions are nothing more than educated guesswork.

You have to ask yourself, how many times during the season have their been homeruns hit towards that side of the pitch (or whatever it's called)? How many times has the ball gone into that area of the crowd? Etc etc etc....

So called "clairvoyance" is nothing more than a total fraud.

I'm clairvoyant. I can predict that any heterosexual male that logs on to FreeOnes will get automatic wood.

Beat that. :thefinger

I need to clean my screen!
Of course the article makes no mention of the dozens (if not hundreds) of predictions the guy made that didn't come true.

Lucky guess is all it was.

And yeah...we don't need to bother Randi on this one.

Don't get me wrong....I'm not saying Blowers is a psychic. I'm saying that the odds of being able to call a home run by an exact player to an exact spot on the exact pitch count are astronomical. No offense BB but the content of your comments would indicate that you don't know much about the sport of baseball. Any fan would tell you that to be able to call a shot like this is nothing short of incredible. The other amazing thing is that Tuiososopu had never hit a home run in the major leagues before. You can explain it all as dumb luck but if so it is about as lucky as hitting the lottery. An amazing coincidence no matter how you look at it!

I'm English, what do you expect from me? :D

But it's not impossible.

In studying the variables of the pitch and where previous homeruns have been hit. It's pretty easy to see how someone could make s fairly educated guess about where the ball might go once it had been hit. The fact that he haddn't hit a homerun yet does not seem to make much difference - that actually helps the psychic make the prediction in this case. I'm sure if he hadn't on this occasion, the "psychic" could have made the same prediction week after week until he did.

Of course it isn't. If it were, it would never have happened in the first place and we wouldn't be talking about it.

You were right....being English, the magnitude of this is lost on you. No offense meant but if you don't understand the nuances of the game, this is pointless to discuss. Nevermind....sorry I brought it up.

Alright, I still think it's a complete guess and quite an easy one to make using all the tricks phychics always employ. But never mind :hatsoff:

Hell yes he was! That's why he was giggling like a schoolgirl over it. There's just no way that happens. Freaky.
