Actually, the country would be fucked up if McCain had won the election. The reason why things are as fucked up as they are is because government is run by politicians. Whether they're democrats, republicans, independents, communists, they all come from the same cesspool.

We've now spent 3 BILLION dollars on our government acting like used car salesmen, but we can't spend half of that on a dozen fighter jets that may turn out to be absolutely necessary in a conflict against China, North Korea, Iran, or Russia in the future.

When you consider what the current admin/congress has spent (Are we into the quadrillions yet?) The fact that 1.75 Billion could not be made available for 7 more F-22 fighters is not only ludicrous, it's insulting. Just read the omnibus spending bill.

Exactly. The Republicans are now doing the same things to crush Health Insurance reform that the Democrats did when Bush tried to change Social Security. It doesn't matter to them that both systems still have serious problems.
