I've heard the clip several times and all I can say is Vote HER OUT. Honestly, in the next few elections we should vote all the incumbents out regardless of party affiliation. But this person is the biggest fucking idiot to get to capitol hill since Carol Mosely Brown.

She's not allowed to express her views. It's not like she's seeking a similar sort of revolution. She's just praising people she thinks are particularly praise worthy. Again I ask, so what? I'm guessing from the comments she made at the beginning of the video that this is about health care. Why not focus on that rather than blowing the comments of a congresswoman totally out of proportion. It's these types of non-stories that take away from the issues and keep the public ill informed. It's trivial to focus on such things when there are bigger things at stake, but it continues to happen.

Yeah, I'm not looking to compare the two countries. What I'm saying is that there is a larger issues at stake and to focus on the comments of a woman who in going by the information you have quoted is wrong isn't really the best course of action.
If that is what she meant in the first place. A short clip never gives you all the information.

I'm trying to remember who was on the popular political t-shirts back when I was in school. Yep, Che Guevara was certainly one of them. Nelson Mandella, Ronald Reagan and Charlie Manson probably made up the balance of the Top 4.
People (especially younger people) have made the mistake of romanticizing Che Guevara after reading or watching The Motorcycle Diaries. Like a lot of idealists, I really think Guevara started out as an idealistic kid with sincere intentions. But power corrupts. And absolute power corrupts absolutely. In the end, he was a stone cold killer who (IMO) got what he deserved.

I don't know that he's a champion for Demoratic causes anymore than the Taliban is really a champion for Republican causes.
Certain people (who are probably extremists) often like to use extreme figures as models for their views. I think he's dumber than a sack of hair, but I don't believe that Pete Sessions (R-TX) is really an admirer of the Taliban or their methods. He's just a garden variety dumbass that doesn't know how to choose his words very well. But that he would choose that particular group probably does speak to how reasonable he is as a member of the United States Congress.
