The difference is that Schulz was publicly reprimanded by MSNBC and there were some who called for him to be be fired or resign. Meanwhile Bolling, who has a history of making racially charged comments, continues to be on air and not once has anyone at FNC, such as his bosses, come out and reprimanded him for his language. There just are no consequences for conservatives when they make remarks like Bolling's.
Um, you should put air quotes around "publicly reprimanded." They HAD to issue some form of "repudiation" because to do otherwise would confirm what most non Kool-Aid drinkers know already: NBC & MSNBC are virulently anti-conservative to the point of ridicule, lying and name-calling. Remember, Schultz set up his own punishment. The network, if it was serious, would've sacked his sexist ass before his radio show was even over.
I've seen quite a bit of Eric Bolling's stuff on FoxBiz (and if you don't get FoxBiz ... DEMAND IT!!!
"We call things racism just to get attention. We reduce complicated problems to racism, not because it is racism, but because it works."
- Alfredo Gutierrez, former gubernatorial candidate State of Arizona, community organizer, activist, political consultant, as quoted by Richard de Uriarte, The Phoenix Gazette, March 14, 1992 (quoted in The ProEnglish Advocate, 1st quarter, 2002).
Exactly right. Tea Party members get called racist in the mainstream media all the time -- or at least they used to up until the last election. If Tea Partiers are racist, I have yet to receive my standard-issue white cape and tall pointy hat.
