Nope, this is different than the British one I posted the other day. Funny thing here is that some street racers in the same area got charged for their recent reckless and fatal accident within 24 hrs. Read about it here:

Spleen

Banned?
Tasers are SO last year. Now it's all about running innocent people down.

SLKSMTH

^ yes thats me!
"Because police are involved." So if it is police it's OK. 90 mph is insane for the city.

Facetious

Moderated
Chiding the police department(s) collectively because of unbecoming behavior on part of a few ? :dunno:

OK, so we have the complaint .. ... did you come with a resolve as well ?

:off to eyeball the Green Czar's "copwatch" website for further info:

Myth 1: Men want sex more than women
Has been found guilty of dangerous driving and been told "jail time is inevitable".

I hope many bad things happen to him.

My hand is my best friend!
Sometimes human beings do stupid things.
Sometimes human beings kill each other, act like assholes and do other crazy shit.

Cops are human beings. So there can't be exception for them. They are not aliens from the other planet.

There is no speical race for the profession. No ideal extraterrestrials to choose from. All you have got are the same old human beings, with all their sins, problems and disadvantages.
People are not ideal, and cops would never be ideal as well. Doctors are not ideal. Plumbers are not ideal. But not cuz they are doctors, plumbers or cops. They are not ideal cuz they are people!

There is no way you can change it. People will always remain the same. And there always is a possibility that among representatives of any profession you can find an asshole.

If doctor makes a mistake, it is the case of the particular doctor. Or should we "disperse" the community of doctors and ban this profession? Should we abandon police?

Search Function? What's that?
yet on a daily basis I notice a police cruiser changing lanes with out signaling, changing lanes in the middle of an intersection, or exceeding the speed limit without his or her siren on...bottom line SOME, not most, not all, cops feel they are above the law and say fuck following the rules I enforce. And yes when it is somebody who wears a badge they give up their right to do stupid things.

Yes, I bribed and cheated to get this far
sure there are honest cops that want nothing but to uphold justice, but I think that there is a fair deal of them that either start out feeling like they have a personal bone to pick with the world, or else they become that way after cracking under the pressure of there jobs...moreso than plumbers and doctors.

really I don't blame cops for this. I blame a society that thinks talking about your feelings is unbecoming of a man or a waste of time. If cops were better at dealing with the way that they feel, before and during the job, then I think we'd all be better off- of course that goes for the whole human race as well.

:hatsoff:

I see too many police breaking rules they would pull someone over for if an average citizen was doing the same thing.

You can't enforce rules you do not follow.

My lawyer told the sheriff the same thing.

Ban the cars! If we're going to ban the guns, makes sense to ban the cars too...the deadly little buggers. :D

:confused::confused:

Has anyone suggested that we should ban cars because of this?

Had he driven with his flashing lights and siren on, this whole incident likely wouldn't have occurred. You've got to give people a fighting chance if you're gonna be driving 90mph in town. Duh.

Yeah, he was using it carelessly, just like people can use guns carelessly. Only millions of people use both of those systems quite lawfully everyday. :D

Unfortunately, this thread isn't about banning cars OR gun bans/gun control, etc. (What, are you all inspired by Poplawski's recent heroism, or what? :dunno:)

Anyway, you're hopelessly :2offtopic

Let's get back to this news item of the cop hitting and killing another driver while going 90MPH without utilizing regulation precautions to actually protect citizens in the area.
