Has the definition of the word cuckold changed or is the porn industry just stupid?

I always thought a cuckold was a guy whose wife has committed adultery. But after watching videos titled "Cum Eating Cuckolds", "Cuckold Fantasies", and "Cuckold Encounters", I'm starting to doubt my understanding of the English language. If you watch those videos, you come away thinking a cuckold was a young woman who is involved with an older man.

I would expect something like "Revenge of the Cuckold" or something describing a man. In our slang culture, I know words change meaning all the time. Have I missed the boat on this one or do I need to send a dictionary to the porn studios?

That's why I asked the question about the meaning changing, because I had to look the word up to make sure it meant what I thought it meant. I obviously know the formal definition of the word, I'm just wondering if it's morphing into something else.

I think the whole subject is becoming pretty widespread these days. Most people like to try fucking other people in front of their significant others. Just check out sites like craigslist, people are on there all the time, trying to find other men to fuck their wives...it's pretty scary.

Bingo! Also, many times the husband will participate with the wife and "bull" (as the other guy is usually called) by either (yukkk!!!!) eating the creampie afterwards or licking the guy clean. A lot of times the wife will have the husband suck the bull off to get him hard before they "do the deal". Sort of a weird variation of S&M where the main idea is to humiliate the living shit out of the husband.

I don't get it at all but hey to each his own.....crazy fucking world.

They're stupid. I laughed the first time I saw the word used for porn, since I had never seen it used outside of Shakespeare. Its one of those words that fell out of usage for so long that its been completely reinvented.

This is an old thread, but I can't help myself - HAVE to respond to this. Being the author of two cuckold books, it's amazing how astray people have been led by the meaning of the word "cuckold."

No, a cuckold isn't an older lady or a woman who likes having sex with older men (if these were joke, fine).

A cuckold is a man with an unfaithful wife. Period. It doesn't matter if he knows about it or not. If she's spreading her legs for someone other than her husband, he's a cuckold.

Cheating (when the husband doesn't know she's fucking around) is cuckolding. But not all cuckolding is cheating since the husband sometimes knows about it and relishes it.

The strictest definition lies between a husband and wife. However, it can be applied to girlfriend and boyfriend couples. When we get into "man who enjoys watching his wife have sex with BBC while being humiliated by them both", we get further and further away from the true definition of the word and almost totally into the absurd fantasy nonsense that clueless porn producers would like us to see.
