That this "Cyber Czar" appointment is a smokescreen ostensibly put into place to protect the security of the governmental computer system but is, in reality, going to be overseeing a spy campaign against American citizens? Some NYC cop comes out and says it has the potential to be used to spy on us and all of a sudden it's a "slippery slope"?

Everyone here knows that you can't stand Obama. However, some of this contrived and clasdestine cloak-and-dagger stuff that you throw out here is really pretty silly actually. If Bush did this, you'd be lauding it as being absolutely critical to national security. Obama does it, it's somehow evil and sinister. :dunno:

We have all heard of the danger of cyber attacks and hacking for years.And hopefully most are aware just how devestating such an attack can be with so much things like infrastructure dependent on the internet and computers for control.This is much different then what people didn't like about the last administrations actions.Obama is announcing it while Bush hid what he was doing and Obama is taking steps to try to insure americans privacy rights ,both those steps are in sharp contrast to what we know happened under Bush.



As Jagger said I don't think Obama can win with some people.No matter if he does or does not something(damned if he does,damned if he doesn't) to some he is always wrong and it is part of some master communist plan(why else call them Czars right facetious:1orglaugh) to grab power.
